Announcing the 2023 Cohort of Maisin Scholars

by SF Ed Fund on

The San Francisco Education Fund is delighted to announce that we have selected the recipients for the 2023 cohort of the Maisin Scholar Award. This year, we received over 300 applications, interviewed 150 finalists, and now we are thrilled to announce the 79 new Maisin scholars who make up the program’s 2023 Cohort.

These students will join a community of exceptional scholars who have utilized the award to achieve remarkable academic and career goals. Maisin Scholars have overcome many obstacles in their pursuit of higher education, and they embody the diversity of our city, representing every high school within the San Francisco Unified School District.

Maisin Scholar Award recipients receive up to $3,000 per year towards their education at a community college, 4-year university, or trade school. Additionally, they have access to academic guidance and support throughout their collegiate journey. This scholarship is renewable annually for up to four years, provided that the recipients continue to meet the program's conditions.
