Who We Serve

The SF Ed Fund primarily resources Priority Schools, located in Bayview-Hunters Point, Excelsior/Visitacion Valley, Mission District/Bernal, and Tenderloin/SOMA.

Our Priority Schools Serve:

50%+

  • 50%+ students from low-income backgrounds
  • 50%+ students not yet meeting literacy standards

Programs serve PreK-12 public schools in San Francisco with an emphasis on high-benefit communities. These communities include low-income neighborhoods, undocumented and newcomer families, and English language learners. The SF Ed Fund is primarily focused on resourcing its priority schools, at which over half of students receive free/reduced lunch or are not yet proficient in math and/or literacy. SFUSD serves approximately 50,000 students, over half of whom are faced with financial challenges and limited access to academic or mental health support beyond the classroom.
