African American Read-In Event: Feb 7th

The 25th National African American Read-In will be held the morning of Friday, February 7th in elementary school classrooms across San Francisco. Join us as a reader!This annual event helps kick off Black History Month by celebrating the great literary works of African American authors and illustrators. The San Francisco Education Fund will help recruit 100 volunteer readers to read to a classroom at one of our participating elementary schools: Dr. Charles Drew Academy, Dr. George Washington Carver Elementary, Junipero Serra Elementary, El Dorado Elementary, Paul Revere Elementary, Bret Harte Elementary, and Bessie Carmichael Elementary.Readers will receive a free breakfast and training in read-aloud techniques the morning of the event.
