Celina Baldizon (she/her/hers) has worked within education for the last 10 years. After graduating from the University of San Francisco with her BA in Psychology and MA in Teaching, Celina developed a passion for community engagement in her role as an elementary school tutor for the Families and Youth in Transition Program which motivated her to became an advocate for social emotional education. Prior to her position as the Volunteer Coordinator at the Ed Fund, Celina worked to create intentional, safe, and culturally inclusive spaces in her classroom as a second-grade teacher.
Although she is a Bay Area native, Celina has a growing list of “things to do in SF” such as walk across the Golden Gate Bridge and visit Treasure Island. This has inspired her to learn more about neighborhoods within her community whose unique history can be told through cuisine and culture. In addition to exploring new places, Celina enjoys scrapbooking, water coloring, caring for her pets, and walking through every aisle in a store with a coffee in hand just in case she spots something special.
Combining her love for community building and education, she is excited to connect with volunteers and school staff to support our SFUSD schools!
