As one of the first education funds in the country and nonprofit in San Francisco, we mobilize our community to accelerate access to a quality education for public school students through tutoring, mentoring, and scholarships.

We envision a future where every San Francisco Public School student has access to quality education.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the SF Ed Fund tirelessly responded to the changing needs of our students. With our community’s support:

500 SAN FRANCISCO FAMILIES

We fought to secure vital Covid relief funds for over 500 San Francisco families most impacted by Covid.

1,000 FAMILIES

We jumped into action and provided over 1,000 families with technology support to navigate the technology requirements of virtual school.

50 SCHOOLS

We connected 50 schools with companies in our community who offered their time, talent and resources to enrich the educational experiences of thousands of SFUSD students.

300 VOLUNTEERS

We provided over 300 volunteers to support classroom teachers and directly tutor students in literacy and math.

300 COLLEGE STUDENTS WITH $1.8 MILLION OF TUITION FUNDING

We supported over 300 college students with $1.8 million of tuition funding to continue their learning journeys.

$4.5 MILLION OF IN PERSON SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS

We rewarded $4.5 million of in person summer camp scholarships to 2,700 low income SFUSD students in partnership with city leaders as part of the Summer Together initiative to get 20,000 students in person this summer.

2,000 STUDENTS

We launched a citywide free virtual tutoring effort this spring for 2,000 students who lacked access to academic supports.
