Kurt Klaus

Kurt’s passion for the education sector can be traced back to his tenure at UCLA, where his love of learning and cognitive science drove him to work toward giving all students an enjoyable classroom experience. After providing academic support for a South Los Angeles elementary school during the 2021-2022 school year, Kurt now works as the San Francisco Education Fund’s Corporate Partnerships Coordinator. In this role, he helps plan 3-5 events per year for each of the 29 schools enrolled in the Circle the Schools program. Ultimately, he wants to use his expanding experience in education to help influence effective education policy, creating environments where students feel comfortable and excited to learn. Outside of the office, Kurt enjoys playing basketball and working on creative writing projects, the most recent of which is a short story collection about LA public transit.
