All in for Education
In 1982, Jack Strauss lost all of his chips in a bet during the final rounds of the World Series of Poker tournament play. As he got up to leave, he saw he had left one chip beneath a napkin on the table. With that one chip, he went on to win the entire World Series. This change of fate gave way to the popular poker saying that all one needs to win the World Series is 'a chip and a chair.'
The San Francisco Education Fund wants to provide 'a chip and a chair'– a chance – for every San Francisco public school student to succeed. To help us do this we are throwing the All in for Education: Casino & Club Night on March 8, 2018. Your sponsorship would help the San Francisco Education Fund put trained volunteers into classrooms and grant funds in the hands of teachers. The Casino & Club Night will feature the “Chip & a Chair” Charity Poker Tournament presented by No Reservations Giving. The event will also feature casino games. a dance floor, an open bar and delicious appetizers.
The event, organized by our Young Professionals Council, is attended by more than 300 people, particularly those ages 25-45. The poker tournament also draws many C-level executives. As a major sponsor, you will receive a logo and company inclusion in the event's promotional materials, shout-outs via social media posts and recognition during the evening.
